I’ve spent my career in Business Consulting, Sales (& Engineering) and would consider a career change. I’m interested to hear from other people that have actually taken the plunge and joined Farmers Insurance Group. How was the transition? What were your initial earnings (1st to 3rd year)? Did they require a francise fee? How did you build your client list? Anthing else you can share that was good or bad in starting out.

My current auto insurance is All State. I am looking for a new insurance of similar policy with lower cost. want to shop online and see if there is better deal. Does request auto insurance quote have any negative effect in my credit ( they need to pull my credit scores, i have a very good one), or any other negative effects.

I’ve been shopping around for car insurance and I am surprised at the quoted price of Geico in comparison to most other companies. Geico is much cheaper than my current insurance company, and many other insurance companies.
How can they offer such cheap rates, especially with all of the advertising they do? Are people having difficulty getting money out of Geico when they make claims?
It just seems odd to me that they can offer such low rates.

I am renting a car for one month from Hertz. Their insurance is very expensive (at per day, it adds 0 to my costs). I have already asked my credit card company if they offer auto insurance for a rental car. Do you have any suggestions on other options for inusuring a rental car for one month?
I do not own a car, so I do not have any personal auto insurance. This rental will be in the United States.

I live in Virginia, in the USA. I will be looking soon for auto insurance for my first car. I have bad credit, no driving record(I am just about to get my license within the next couple months), and am 26. Where can I find an insurance company with an affordable premium?

I have a friend who grew up in the city and I want to help her build up driving confidence. She has a license but essentially she just took a crash driving course and never really had any highway experience. She does not have a car and so obviously she is uninsured. I am insured but I want to know if it is okay to let her practice on my car while I am sitting besides her. Any ideas? This is for California, by the way.
Thanks for everyone’s kind responses. My friend *has* been trained in driving school–that’s how she got her license. She took a week of lessons and she got her license on the first try. She wanted me to help her because her driver instructor was not very thorough nor patient. He taught her only enough to pass the driving test. I am trying to teach her some defensive driving skills so she can someday handle driving with different highway or weather conditions. Any ideas would be really appreciated too. Thanks!
