My husband and I are going through a messy divorce. Our first hearing is Tuesday. He has already had two violations, one for cutting off my Amex TWICE, my ONLY source of paying for anything for our 4 year old daughter, and then again for changing the locks on our home while he and his girlfriend stay there. He’s on probabation for a dwi with our daughter in the car last year. My attorney is going to ask that he get jail time for contempt of court two times. The fact that he is on probation already have any affect on this?

The case in point- While driving Subject was pulled over on a weak suspicion of being drunk. Subject was arrested and detained overnight. Then was called to court on two different occasions, both times the case was never called up and once the representing lawyer never showed! Subject since then was hired with a travelling job and was rarely in the state this occurred. Six years have gone by, our "Subject" has been without a license and has not been driving a car since. Subject has recently been hired (assuming a new license is obtained) at a new job living on site. Going back to the state where this occurred is out of the question, shouldn’t this be fairly easy to resolve?

A friend of mine was drunk. I was sober and driving. She had to use the restroom and I had to run a quick errand, so I dropped her off at my home to use the bathroom. I came back to my home, afteer being gone for about 15 minutes and she had fallen in my garage and she broke both of her feet. She did not have permission to go into my garage and she did not trip over anything. Now she is saying that she has a case to sue my homeowners insurance. She sis talk to an attorney but admitted that she did not tell her attorney that she was drinking. Does she have a case? I live in Florida and it is very hard to get homeowners insurance. I say this because my insurance company would surely not renew my contract if i had a claim.

What will happen if I go to court this Monday for driving a vehicle without insurance and when I go I still don’t have insurance? I was told if I get insurance it will probably be thrown out, but since I don’t have it, I wonder what will happen. I want to get like yesterday, but I can’t afford it until this Friday which will be after the court date. What are the repercussions? Will I lose my license?
