Does beating a Ticket help in my lawsuit for an auto accident?

I am currently being sued for an accident that happened 2 years ago. After the accident I was issued a pair of citations for failing to yield and negligent driving. When I went to court for the tickets the officer did not show niether did the witness, the case was dismissed and I got off without paying the fines or picking up the points. Will this help me with my lawsuit or am I still liable?

You are still potentially liable. Conviction or lack of conviction wouldn’t be a factor in the lawsuit anyway since you apparently pled not guilty and went to trail.
Best person to ask about these matters will be your attorney of course.
your still liable, however the fact that your tickets were dismissed, it might help the insurance company to reduce the settlement offer to the victim of the accident, which has no effect on you.
Nope, beating the ticket isn’t going to help. You’re going to have to prove that the OTHER person broke driving laws, or otherwise caused the accident, in compliance with your standards of fault.
And from those citations, it sounds like maybe they had the right of way – so I think you’re going to lose this one. Unless they don’t show up to court.
