The accident was my fault And when I returned to work on the next day they fired me. The reason he gave was that I was involved in too many accidents (had one earlier in the year) and they would have to let me go.
I’m 31 and married no accidents good driving record not so good credit. I have a 1980 chevy truck I called around even the general the one u see on tv. It’s 50 a month or so.. I hear people paying 18 a month I want something cheap. I just need the state min liabilty insurance nothing great.. Nobody advertise maybe give me a company you know of.. I can’t afford 50. On a truck I drive here and there.
As a claims adjuster, I know my fair share about accidents but unfortunately I have never had to go through the small claims court process so im pretty new to it.
My boyfriends car (its an old clunker- therefore, no collision) was hit by an uninsured motorist Friday night. Today (monday) I picked up the police report and confirmed they were uninsured and confirmed the owners information.
I sent a certified letter as well as hand delivered a letter to them today confirming that if I did not hear from they within one week I would be filing a claim against them in small claims court.
Lets say I do not hear back- are their any further steps before I go to small claims? How does the small claims court process work? have you ever been through it- how did it turn out for you? Any advice is appreciated b/c like i said.. this is my first (and hopefully only time) i will have to deal with this.

Got quotes on full insurance last night and Progressive was 0 for 1 year while Liberty Mutual was 00!!!!!
Isnt Progressive a better company than Liberty Mutual??????
Esurance is not the cheapest!!!!! They quoted 0!
I used to be with them for many years and they were fantastic. When I got into couple of accidents they didnt raise my rates and paid for repairs promptly. But went with Geico cause they were cheaper. Now Progressive is the cheapest! Never expected that cause they were always 4th cheapest.
Next week, I’ll be switching to another auto insurance. My previous limits with another company were:
-minimum MD state 20/40/15 for Bodily Injury, Uninsured Motorist, and property damage
-PIP 00
-250/500 for Comprehensive/Collision, had road service, towing, and rental.
I don’t have many assets. I’m a renter and I live from paycheck to paycheck. I have no accidents, no tickets, and no violations for the last 8 years. I’m a cautious driver. I drive a 2003 Honda Civic.
The new insurance company is offering me 9/year for the limits 100/300/100 Bodily Injury Liability and matching for Uninsured Motorist + Property Damage, 250/500 for Comp/Coll, road service, towing, and rentals, PIP 2500.
I’ve seen different answers that say 100/300/100 would be better for those who own a house and have a better income.
What do you think is a recommended coverage going?
I’m an 18 year old male driver, no previous accidents or tickets, therefore no points on my license. I drive an SUV. I currently have State Farm and my premium is extremely high, it’s about 1400 every 6 months. I’m looking for a cheap insurance company, not really worried about good coverage just a lower price.
My friend has auto insurance with them and claims they raised his insurance rates 4 consecutive times (every 6 months). He has 3 cars with them and no accidents nor tickets during this period. Is this normal other insurance companies to be raising their rates during the last 2 years? I mean the economy sucks and they still raising rates?

So I know that the car insurance companies prices are "based on statistics" that show men get into more accidents than women, but… If it was statistically proven that for example, African Americans got into more accidents than Caucasians, would they be able to charge the African Americans more?

I’m 14 and almost the age to get my adult driving permit in my state (15) and i heard they were going to change the age to 18 or 21 or something and i think its stupid just cause some 16 and 17yr olds were getting into accidents (probably coming home drunk after a party or just being wreckless) but i was wondering what some people around my age and slightly older people were thinking as well and dont erase this question because the minimal asking age is 13
I have been doing a lot of research to make sure I can afford a motorcycle and I have been very surprised with the cost of insurance. I wasn’t expecting it to be cheap, but really! Everything has been between 00 and 00 a year. I am a 19 year old female who has taken the safety course and I have no accidents in my history. Also, the Ninja 250 is such a low powered machine, I thought that made a difference. Is there an insurance company that is cheaper?
