My friend and I are creating our budget plans for our first apartment. So far I’ve factored in rent, utilities, car insurance, and gas. If you know of anything else I should be aware of please let me know. Thanks!!
(Btw, I’m in Arizona)

My family and another family share joint ownership of two apartment fourplexes. Both properties have recently been paid off. Now we want to split ownership so that one family owns one fourplex and one family owns the other fourplex. However, the fourplexes were bought at different times and have unequal property tax rates. How can this division be done fairly for both parties involved?
Edit (correction): The properties don’t have unequal property tax rates. Rather, the properties have unequal property tax assessed values.

I am the homeowner in a Co-op apartment. I am renting my apt. and the Co-op is asking that I obtain renter’s insurance for the renter. Does this make sense? I thought I am responsible for homeowner’s insurance and the renter is responsible for renter’s insurance. Anybody heard of this before?

I recently just graduated college and got a pretty good deal for my job. I’m moving to Atlanta. The good thing about starting this job is that for 9 months my apartment is completely paid for and it’s furnished. My question is should I get renters insurance for an apartment that is furnished? If I was robbed or furniture was stolen wouldn’t it kinda be the landlords problem in a sense. The most valuable stuff I have is my laptop and possibly my desktop. Also if you live in Atlanta was in a general price that you pay for Car insurance. Thanks. I’m looking at state farm and it was roughly around 120 dollars a month

Im purchasing a home in 2 months. Meanwhile my apartment was broken into and my second vehicle was stolen via my spare key which was hidden in my apartment. My losses for the apartment are around ,000 and my vehicle carried full coverage and is valued at ,200. If i make an insurance claim to cover my losses, when i buy my home would my homeowners insurance rates suffer from these two big claims?

I have a indoor palm plant in my bedroom, it is approx. 7 feet tall. The top comes to about 2-3 feet from the ceiling. Right above the plant there is water damage in my ceiling- brown, cracking. The spot above the plant is the only water damaged spot in my room. Could this be because of the plant, or just a coincidence?
I forgot to mention I live in an apartment, there is an apartment above me.

I live in Calif and my car was hit at my apartment complex by a drunk, unlicensed, undocumented individual. I have full coverage insurance including uninsured motorist and the insurance is refusing to pay. Is there a recourse I can take?

The home I recently purchased was owned by the sister of my current neighbor. Sometime back she sold him a strip of land right next to (under a foot) from my home to use as parking for his apartment building next door. I was told by someone that there needs to be so much space between his property line and the foundation of my home. Was this a valid sale? This is causing some major problems as his tenants are a foot from parking in my living room! HELP!
