AURORA, Colo. — A 6-year-old boy is recovering from serious head injuries after being hit by a Ford Ranger pickup truck Saturday morning.
The parents of Christopher Gonzales, 6, were visiting friends on the 1100 block North Moline Street where the hit-and-run was witnessed by several neighbors.
Christopher was standing near his parents’ friends who were changing a tire to a truck parked in front of the home. He walked from behind the truck, and toward the front when he was hit by the Ford Ranger with two passengers, said Aurora Police Lt. Bruce Smith Witnesses told Aurora police the driver was going northbound on Moline Street and put his car in reverse after he hit the 6-year-old boy and continued to speed in the same gear southbound on Moline Street.
Witnesses to the scene chased the driver on foot while one got in a vehicle to pursue him.
Aurora police arrested the driver of the Ford Ranger, who is identified as Ricardo Gomez-Carcamo, 26, by a Mexican Consulate identification card, near East 11th Avenue, where he lost control and crashed into bushes and a utility pole.
The second passenger was identified as Simon P. Gallegos, who police say got out of the truck and ran back to the scene and was arrested on an unrelated warrant.
Christopher was transported to the Children’s Hospital where Aurora Police Victim Services responded to assist the Gonzales’s family.
Gomez-Carcamo is being held for felony charges of leaving the scene of a serious bodily injury accident.

So the other day i accidently rear ended someone in a parking lot. The accident was under 10mph. I hit them at a diagnol angle sorta where the passanger side of my front bumper hit the driver side of their back bumper. I didnt fully rear end them but I it them behind. There was a small dent in their car and some scratches on mine. It was all a minor fender bender. Im 19 and the couple who I hit seemed nice about it and the husband was telling me that he had other car accidents and which resulted in a back injury.
I have progressive insurance and after giving my statement, I find out that they are claiming bodily injury for the husband who cwas sitting in the passanger side. I wasnt going more then 10mph and I didnt even hit the passanger side. I told my insurance progressive that if he claims a back injury then its fraud. What can they do with a flas injury claim? I have the couples phone number, should I contact them or let the insurance handle it?
if someone 18 years old is charged with assault w. deadly weapon causing G. bodily injury how long do you think they will serve if its there first offense and they have no lawyer. jus public defender
Which would you consider worse all Misdemeanor A’s rank them 1-3, 1 being the worst.
Also which do you consider more severe a Burglary (no one present in building) or DWI causing bodily injury.

We have contacted the humane society many times bout this neighbor’s dogs and horses and they have done nothing, the dogs have chased myself and other neighbors and actually bit one of their kids. They have filed reports also and nothing has been done. Now one of the neighbors horses got out and came onto our property again, this time going through and tearing our fence down and majorly injured one of my horses, resulting in us having to put my horse down. It also tore our barn up pretty bad and came after us and tried attacking us as well, resulting in bodily injury to my father in law. when the humane society officer came, she told us an animal control officer would come and take the horse, when she actually took the horse back over to the neighbors herself. They are not enforcing the neighbor to fix the problem, in fact they are not doing anything! I have called different organizations and they have all said the horse should have been removed, possibly all of the neighbors horses since he has so many reports against him. We are trying to get the horse removed from the property since they are doing nothing to reassure this doesn’t happen again, and we’re trying to protect our other horses and ourselves from also getting injured. We are also being harassed by these neighbors. we are trying to find a solution for all of it and have been calling different law enforcements and animal organizations. We are looking for any advice or input that could help us out in solving this issue as soon as possible. we are also taking these people to court for all the damage and harassment but need a solution for the time being. any info would be great. thanks!
my car was stolen in 2009 by a my roomate during the night, did not report car stolen because we were sleeping, he was driving while intoxicated, hit a pedestrian, he was an ilegal and sent back to his native country and now the car insurance sent a letter saying that the bodily injury coverage is not enough. I have a felony in wv for child endanderment with risk of bodily injury and a DUI and in TN an attempted robbery years ago. However i want to make my life better and have caught some bad raps due to thing i plead on because i was scared and want to be able to help people not be just a peice of paper.
