How to handle this auto accident claim?

I was involved in a minor accident where I was at fault by backing into a car. The damage on my car was far greater than the damage to the other party’s car. My car will require a new back bumper while the other car only got a damaged headlight. How should I go about telling my insurance about the accident without totally admitting guilt? I know I am at fault but don’t want to be categorized as a high risk driver that would obviously raise my rates. I know I will need to pay my deductible, but will I also need to pay the other party’s deductible and or damages?

In California, Does a car insurance have the authority to have a driver’s license suspended because of money owed to them? First, I had to pay for damages for the other vehicle. I paid. Now two years later they are calling again. Trying to collect money for injuries. Threatening to suspend my D.L. if I don’t pay. Is this right?

The other driver had no dl but vehicle was insured under his wife. The driver of my vehicle was found at fault and I only had liability, so my insurance paid for their damages. My vehicle was a total loss , so I want to sue the driver and his wife for the value of my vehicle because I felt if he wouldn’t hv been driving illegally…the accident would have never occurred. I am in the state of texas.

My fiance was on her way back to work from testifying in court which she had to do for her job. After the court hearing, she was heading back to work and was involved in a car accident. Would any of the damages, such as paying the deductible if she needs to, be covered by her employer since it was during company time and she was forced to testify for her work? She was not injured so no workers comp is needed just damages on her car.

I am from Ohio and have my own car insurance. I work in Kentucky (which is a ‘no fault’ state). I was in a minor car accident on my way to work the other morning. No one was injured, and the other person’s car wasn’t really damaged. It was his ‘fault’ though. He had insurance and we both gave out info to the police officer who showed up to do our report. My car, however, is damaged and will need to be fixed. I’m not very car educated but my hood doesn’t come up /stay shut correctly, something is wrong with my headlight/turn signal in the front, the front fender will need to be replaced, and the front corner/side panel will also most likely need to be replaced…and who knows if anything other than the outside of the car was damaged…. Ugh!.

Now I was told to go ahead and start anything I need to with my own insurance company, but what I don’t get is how this will differ from and accident in Ohio. Will my insurance company request payment from the other person insurance or simply pay whatever they cover of my damages? I just don’t get it.
I’ll check that out, but I’ve never heard of someone having to have plates designated by the state they WORK in as opposed to the state they LIVE in. I live in the Greater Cincinnati area so that would be crazy if everyone crossing the river back and forth to work had to get new plates for their work.

Auto Accident?

I rear ended someone about a month ago at a red light, and I offered to pay out of my pocket for the damages. There was no police report, and a month later he decides he would rather deal with the insurance company than take my offer of paying out of my pocket. My car wasn’t even damaged, and I think he needs to get his bumper replaced.

I never been into an accident before, and I wonder what happens now? Its been a month so can he still file a claim? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Also, this accident occured out of state.
The police was called but there was no police report. They just checked out our info.

My apartment unit just caught on fire yesterday, and only the entire kitchen burned down, everything else is covered with soot, and there are couple smoke damages on the wall. I don’t think my family bought the renter’s insurance. But the landlord, who owns my apartment unit and many other, has insurance. My main concern is that will I have to pay for the house damage (the burned kitchen, cabinets, carpets, appliances) that originally belong to the house? Will this matter whether the fire was caused by negligence or simply pure accident? I am willing to pay for my own property loss. It’s just the cost of restoring everything will be a major impact.
