actually, better yet, is there anyone i can talk to that understands about health insurance
A friend of mine’s daughter had to have her appendix removed at the hospital. They have health insurance that paid for it but they saw the bill and the grand total was in the area of ,000. This was for a day and a half at the hospital. The daughter had no complications or anything that resulted in an extended stay at the hospital. My question is: Would an uninsured person have to pay that amount out of pocket,or would the costs be less because they have no health insurance?
Thanks for clearing this up.
We have had an ongoing legal battle with an insurance company for about 4 years in a wrongful death case. We finally received a reasonable offer in mediation on May 24, which was accepted. The lawyer had us sign releases for the health insurance settlement that was holding a lien against any settlement off – that was signed on July 1. Assuming the lawyer didn’t send in the releases to the insurance company until July 6, when is it reasonable to expect a check?

They keep falsely claiming over 40 million Americans are uninsured when the fact of the matter is nearly 15 million of that number are illegal aliens and another 10 million of that number simply choose not to use their employer provided health insurance.
