My wedding rings disappeared out of my home 10 yrs ago. Every time we have done a home project or replaced carpeting we have been careful to search for them. Do you think it has been too long to claim them on my home owners insurance? I would really love to get them replaced.

What would happen if you home owners insurance drops your policy and you have a mortgage on your house? For example, the home we have a contact on has a questionable roof (wood shingles under composite which is hard to find an insurer, at least here in Oklahoma). The insurance will write the policy based on a report by a roofer of your choice and then AFTER the closing they will come and do an exterior inspection of their own. If they decide to drop the policy does your mortgage company find someone willing to insure the home????

I live in Houston, in an individual own apartment complex(s). We have multi – owners for different units, meaning different owners for units. The main office in this area says everyone in these apartment has to pay for homeowner insurance. By law does can they make us buy insurance for my share of units? or is it mandatory to have home owners insurance? I am wondering because they are threating to throw me out of my own home if I do not buy home owner insurance for the three units that I own. Please help me show proof that I don’t have to buy home owner insurance so that I can fight this. I know I am right, and I am not required by law to buy home owner insurance if I do not want to.
I am owner of this three units. The first owner of these apartment complex can’t afford to keep up with the place so he sold off units to different owners. I do not have loans or mortgages on these units. My contracts when sold to me says nothing about insurance. I am not renting the place.

I am looking for a ballpark figure for an average size home. Something like 3bed 2 bath, garage, regular average all around. Back on August 26th,2009 I was rear-ended by a h2 hummer.
The lady driving was not insured, driving with an out of date license, and revoked drivers license.
She did not get a ticket from the city police officer.

I was blacked out and had to go to the hospital while my husband had to drive the car home.
She is trying to place all of this on her husbands home owners insurance.
The car is in her name , but using her husbands home owners insurance.
The insurance company also has the wrong vin number ,and has forged out checks with the wrong vin number.

My car is 20 years old and only car insurance for liability.
I have gone through several attorneys in the state of Louisiana , and they will not help me or
touch this case.

What do I do now? Please help me…
