I read something in a magazine about if you are of latino or african american descent you may have a case in the class action suit against Allstate. Something about how they come up with the amount of your insurance policy. Does anyone know or have filed?

Making a New Auto Insurance Quote versus Renewal on Same Insurance Company Costs Less?
My auto insurance will expire very soon and I noticed that I haven’t received any renewal offers from my current insurance provider. So without hesitation I visited their official site and did some new quote. Virtually, I am a "new" customer if I choose to purchase this quote — which will cost me only 0.00
Two days later, I finally received a "renewal offer" via e-mail. Take note again that this is the same insurance company, same insurance policy coverages, same policy number — But there’s a difference! To renew, it’ll cost me 8.00
To my startled mind, I made a quick visit on this existing policy account online and checked the "declarations page" for this renewal offer. Unfortunately for some reason, the website cannot display this said page.
What’s going on here? Could there be a conflict if I choose to buy a new policy with presumably will make a new policy number with the SAME insurance company?
Is there some sort of money making scheme going on in here? I have been informed also that if you "create a new quote, and purchase that new quote BUT from the same company" you appear as a "virtual new customer" but having the same name and complete information.
Is doing so ok?
If I’m am required to have a renters insurance policy in a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo, do I need a policy for each person? Or could I get 1 policy that covers the entire house, and if I can do it either way, which should I do? I’m renting the condo in San Ramon, CA and it’s me and a work buddy moving in together
My condo had a loss in the kitchen and breakfast area. The insurance policy from our condo association (i.e., not my policy) covers the loss, and that is not in dispute. What they did was rip up the damaged half of the floor in the breakfast area, but held off ripping up the remainder of the floor. The contractor used by our association for repair work says that repairing and replacing the floor in the kitchen will require moving appliances which they are not paid to do. How can this best be resolved? I want my floor like it was…one seamless expanse from the kitchen right through to the breakfast area. Should I have to pay for moving appliances? In our state (Mass.) a licensed plumber is required to disconnect and reconnect the dishwasher and this won’t be cheap. Thanks for any replies!
Hello. My father was working on the roof and fell off from there. His feet are injuried and he will have to sit in the wheelchair for 3 months. I read about Personal Liability in his insurance policy, but I am not clear if this will cover his medical cost. Any information will be helpful. I can’t contact my agency right now, because of the Thanksgiving holiday. My insurance claim department are not licensed to give me any information.
We do not have any health insurance at all. The family is under a great stress because we have no idea how to pay off the medical bill. My parents do not qualify for Medicare because they are not US citizens. Is there any assistance for medical bills for legal citizens?
