Ok in trying to plead not guilty nd not get my license suspended for a year… I am under 21 so maybe I can get underage drinkibg instead of DUI.. Can a lawyer help me? Or should I go to dmv hearing without one? Also how can I get the police reports?
under Perry Texas is projected to end up in the bottom 5 of every national educational evaluation standard available. The only industry in Texas that is growing and has been growing by leaps and bounds is the state prison system. Furthermore, because of Rick Perry’s efforts to eliminate regulations on insurance companies in the state of Texas it’s projected that many Texans will end up with their homeowners insurance claiming "Act of God" status and they will end up homeless.
And this is the guy Republicans think is going to win? Seroiusly, did you people just say "Let’s just go ahead and find the biggest asshole we can! We know we aren’t going to win anyways."
Do you think Texans will be glad to find out that it’s market deregulation that allows the insurance company to hide behind that "Act of God" status and that they now have the freedom to spend what few remaining dollars they have trying to find a lawyer who’s willing to pursue a civil case that’s basically guaranteed to fail in a Texas court?

Car insurance guy, what the heck are you talking about? I need to compare legal malpractice rates. Not car insurance rates.
Lets say ur insurance expired at midnight and at 2AM a car runs red light and totals ur car and seriously injures u. Clearly other driver is at fault.
But lawyer says he cant represent u cause u were uninsured. Why is that??

The house burned down and may be in the 100K range. This separate claims adjuster had him sign a contract that gives the claims adjuster 9 percent of the settlement. My father is 88 and not really able to understand what he is doing in ths matter. The claims adjuster showed up like an ambulance chaser lawyer. Is he being scamed?
This private claims representative is supposed to negotiate with the insurer.
I have no points on my license and never plead unsafe driving before. I’ve had my license for 1yr 11m.
Is it possible for me to plea unsafe driving? If I do what will the fine/points be? Right now its a 4pt ticket, 200$ fine.

Also, when I got pulled over I had a PBA card on me, but the cop didn’t even look at it and handed it right back to me. I was also trying to ask him the severity of the ticket and if he can help me out and he kept replying with " Don’t talk to me now, we’ll work something out in court". He also told me there’s a number on the back of the ticket if anyone needs to call him. Was he just trying to be a hard ass cop, or will he actually work something out with me in court.

My mother was attacked without a cause by her psycho ex boyfriend. she was choked, punched and slammed against the walls. Luckily all she got were some bruises that have already started to heal. They are fading fast. She did try to defend herself and managed to literally almost bite a chunk of skin off the hand he was attacking her with.
She went to a lawyer and was told that she couldn’t sue for injuries that will heal in less than 2 weeks. his injury WILL take more than week to fully heal. now they are just fighting for custody of my half baby brother.
I don’t understand whats going on with that lawyer but by that logic i could go out and punch your mom and if she is only bruised and heals before 2 weeks, she cant sue for injuries.
I should also mention that this happened in Mexico. More specifically Tijuana.
In a way i know what the problem is already….(its Tijuana >_>) but on the other hand i am not familiar with Mexican laws to establish a valid reason of why she cant get compensation out of that a-hole!
he probably would’ve killed her if it wasn’t because she wasn’t alone at the time…so what the hell???
right i think im coming off wrong. its not that we want any financial gain from that, its just that the guy told us we cant just sue because its a bruise…..and even though maybe all she got were bruises and a swollen face, it was a full out attack on her. and there were witnesses! yet, he said we cannot do anything about it
also, we did call the police but the guy’s mommy came and took him away quick so they never had a chance to get him. i dont know what’s going on down there but it really does seem like somehow, someway, we got the shortest stick out of the bunch and we cant do anything but ALLOW the guy to see the kid when he does shit like that INFRONT of the kid. he’s only 5 :\
please guys forget about getting money for the bruise, that isnt my intent whatsoever even if it sounded like it. my point is just that we cant even sue for assault or battery in this case and i dont know why
yeah -_- think from now on the only thing we’re ever going there for again is just tacos. even then thats gonna be a pretty dangerous trip, lol.
if someone 18 years old is charged with assault w. deadly weapon causing G. bodily injury how long do you think they will serve if its there first offense and they have no lawyer. jus public defender
We have had an ongoing legal battle with an insurance company for about 4 years in a wrongful death case. We finally received a reasonable offer in mediation on May 24, which was accepted. The lawyer had us sign releases for the health insurance settlement that was holding a lien against any settlement off – that was signed on July 1. Assuming the lawyer didn’t send in the releases to the insurance company until July 6, when is it reasonable to expect a check?
