I was hit by a foreign tourist driving a rental car, and my car is totaled. Even though I was not at fault, must I make a claim against my own insurance company? Even if the tourist had bought insurance, I’m assuming that would only cover his rental car. Does this mean that tourists from another country have no responsibility to the person they hit? Would the major credit card he used to rent the car cover any part of my loss? Thanks!!

My car was hit by a drunk driver. I have uninsured motorist coverage and after three weeks, my vehicle was inspected and I was told I was eligible for a rental car. The car was determined totalled. The insurance company wants me to settle and they are offering me 0 for my dependable car that I have kept maintained and has been faithfully running for me over 10 years! I am insulted. I can not replace the car for 0 and I feel as if I am being punished for someone else drinking and driving. Does anyone know what my next step would be? I’ve told the insurance company to mail me the information to review.

i got into an accident a few weeks ago, the other party was at fault. I am trying to deal with their insurance but the insurance adjuster says they don’t have a current contact number for their client and insists i go through my insurance to collect the damages to my vehicle, loss wages, rental car and personal injury. This sounds like a manipulation tactic. what should i do?"

I’m shopping around for a rental car quotes in Jamaica. I’ve received a decent quote from "a plus car rental" there is no number on the website to verify that this is infact a legit business. Have anyone heard of it or even rented from them and would like to share reviews.

I am planning on requesting a credit limit increase for a holding deposit for a rental car. Should I request the credit limit increase? I got into a car accident the other day and he completely demolished my car, I’m lucky I can still drive it. Whenever my car goes to the shop, does his insurance company or him have to pay for my rental car? I won’t be able to drive my car for weeks and I’ll need a rental car, it’s his fault completely and I’m pretty sure he has full coverage but if he only has liability, does he have to pay for my rental car?

I got into a wreck today in a rental car but I declined their insurance, so what does this mean? I do have car insurance for my personal car so will they cover the rental car?
